Coping with Dental Fear and Anxiety
Many children’s fear of the dentist stems from unfavorable stories they overheard from parents, siblings, or other kids. It’s natural for children to be scared or anxious about possible pain or discomfort. Our staff is here to listen and tailor our approaches to help each child overcome their fear. We have helped hundreds of kids and teens relieve the negative feelings they have about visiting the dentist. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing kids who once cried and cowered in the waiting room now smile and sit in the dental chair. In fact, one 6-year old girl told her mom “I want to get another cavity so I can come back” at the end of her last filling appointment.
